In the 1960s Anwar Congo was a leader in Indonesia’s pro-regime paramilitary - the Pancasila Youth. Along with his followers he participated in the murder and torture more than a million alleged Communists, ethnic Chinese and intellectuals. In this film they re-live and re-enact their actions but it is clear there are many in the Pancasila Youth and other right wing groups who would do the same today.
Oppenheimer is slowly getting the film out in Indonesia, while trying to protect the safety of the people who show the film
