We sent in all our signed Anti-Trident petitions (about 400 signatures over the summer) and CND reported that they received 53,000 signatures.

In October, the special focus of the vigil will be on the iniquities of government-sponsored arms dealing: CLOSE THE DEFENCE SALES ORGANISATION (DESO).

AN INTERESTING INTERVIEW

HELP WANTED

Would someone with internet access like to monitor a couple of interesting websites for new information both for this bulletin and for our own website (www.bathstopwar.org.uk) which is being updated? We are thinking of sites such as commondreams which has excellent coverage of US politics. It means visiting a site or reading a bulletin twice a week, following up any links which look promising, and emailing the bulletin editor or the website manager with suggestions for new material.

In general if you see something you would like to share with other supporters, just send the article - or a link to it - to postmaster@bathstopwar.org.uk and we will do the rest. Please put something very clear such as “Bath SWC Item for Newsletter” in the subject line; the email address is infested with spam, and my first action every day is to delete between 50 and 75 rubbish messages!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other subscribers to this Bulletin do not see your name or address, so you should not receive any unwanted messages as a result of being on the mailing list. If you no longer wish to receive the Bulletin, please email back the single word "UNSUBSCRIBE" and your name will be taken off. This option is open at any time and your wishes will be acted on immediately and without question.
