Bush speeches and Gaza reality
Sam Bahour - ISM - If I were President Abbas I would tell the world that the
Palestinian people will remain committed to the two-state solution until the
end of 2008, and after that, if the international community fails yet again
to end this nightmare of occupation, the Palestinian people will return to their
original strategy of calling for one democratic secular state, where Palestinians
and Israelis of all religions can live in dignity and mutual respect as equals.

Bil in`s Abdullah Abu Rahme wounded second time in a week
ISM Reports - Near the end of the demonstration, army snipers shot Bil in Popular
Committee member Abdullah Abu Rahme in the head with a rubber-coated steel bullet.
Abdullah was also one of the activists hospitalized a week ago when settlers
attacked a group of Palestinians who were non-violently protesting the placement
of more caravans on their land. After the soldier shot Abdullah, he dances a
bit and cheers, telling his comrades-in-arms that he got one in the head!

Itamar Sharon - Jerusalem Post - The decision was part of the state`s reply
to the Supreme Court to petitions submitted by the Gisha and Adala NGOs that
both demanded an injunction forcing the state not to cut the supplies (...)
the renewed supplies would be enough to maintain electricity flow to institutions
such as hospitals and infirmaries.

CIA: We said back in 1974 that Israel had nuclear weapons
Amir Oren - Haaretz - This document, top secret for 32 years, was suddenly released
to the public during President Bush`s visit to the Middle Eeast. The CIA did
not answer an inquiry about the strange coincidence of its release soon after
the National Intelligence Estimate asserting that Iran`s nuclear weapons program
was stopped in 2003.

International peace activists turned back at the Allenby Bridge

the United States. Ed.]

Sharon, savior of the settler, killer of Palestine
Bradley Burston - Haaretz - The hard right and the fanatically religious can
curse Sharon, gloat at his unacitation and burn him in effigy. Still, he may
have done their work for them. In erasing all traces of Israel in the Gaza Strip
in 2006, Sharon may have guaranteed the occupation of the West Bank and Jerusalem
lands captured in 1967. ,
